New Plans from Vodafone for Mobile Broadband Usage Abroad
Vodafone is the sole mobile broadband supplier in the UK, which offers an overseas mobile broadband package. It has now come up with economical overseas mobile broadband tariffs.
Vodafone has discontinued its two plans of monthly £60 ‘Euro Travel’ and monthly £95 ‘Travel’, and has announced new packages.
The new tariffs would come into effect from July 1 and would apply according to the part of the globe you are travelling to – the first zone is “Europe”, the second is “World” and the third zone consists of places such as South America, Azerbaijan and some countries in Africa and Asia. Other things determining the tariff would be the amount of data downloaded and whether a dongle or a 3G handset is used.
The prices are calculated on daily basis, with the day starting and ending at midnight
These options will help customers stay in touch with their emails and browsing, however downloading music, videos and large files will prove to be expensive. If you are considering taking a laptop with you abroad, click here for free laptop deals.
To keep track of usage, Vodafone would promptly send out messages to its customers when they are approaching the minimum data allowance of 50MB, to help them decide if they wish to continue surfing thereafter.
The news is a welcome one for all mobile internet users who can now get the chance to browse mobile broadband abroad and keep track of their expenses too.
