It’s the most critical sign in Soul Astrology as it indicates your Soul’s expansion and what you came here to do. Against this, your sun and moon indications are the twin facets of your character : your sun sign is that which is in the light, that you are acutely aware of, and your moon sign indicates your ’shadow’ or sides of your character that you are mostly oblivious of. Buddha taught the true nature of our mind is one of spotless lucidity like a stream of crystal-clear mountain water. From this place, our perception is beautiful : all is understood. We are clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient because all is clear : nothing is in the way, we have clear sight, sound and knowing. We are all-seeing, all truly is understood. For many of us the religious trail is a way of returning to this utmost lucidity. Soul Astrology can be developed to the point at which it becomes a useful tool on our trail : a map, or guide, that may help us in understanding our true nature. The mixed Sun / Moon ‘personality’ can indicate why we do not experience expanded perception : it reflects what stands in our trail in the shape of continual patterns of thinking, feeling, and expressing, that cloud the lucidity of our perceptions.
